Select Fire offers the following Gun Smith Services:
Barrel Threading: This includes most rifle and pistol barrels. We specialize in threading 22 caliber barrels. The picture below shows a .920 OD stainless bull barrel that was threaded 1/2-28 to accept the new DOMINATOR Compensator/ Muzzle Brake. All threads are under cut with a relief at the base and have 30 degree lead in. Threading is $45.00 + $10.00 Shipping. Turn around is normally less than 48 hours.
Roll Pinning the Fire Pin down: The firing pin has a tendency to raise up overtime and eventually fails to make full contact with the rim of the shell from time to time. This causes the shell to not receive the correct strike and leads to a mis-fire. We secure the pin from rising with a roll pin pressed above it at the extractor end. The Roll pin sits just a hair above the firing pin and prevents the pin from rising during hammer contact. Cost $30.00 plus $5.00 shipping.
Barrel Cutting: Select Fire will cut your barrel and re-crown the end on any firearm. You just need to call out how many inches you would like the barrel to be from the breach opening to the end (Projectile exit). Please keep in mind that all NFA rules will apply for shotgun barrels cut shorter than 18" and Rifle barrels cut shorter than 16 inches. Cost $40.00 plus shipping. Combined cutting and threading is $70.00 plus $10.00 shipping.
Ruger Trigger work: Polishing and fitting the sear and hammer for a target grade trigger. This service will only be done if you send the entire trigger group as an assembly. Each trigger housing is a bit different. Therefore, in order to ensure a crisp trigger we need to use the housing it comes out of. Cost $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Total $40.00
