This Gear Up Check Valve will out-perform the Prestolite valve. However, it's not yet approved for certified aircraft. With that said...

Our Gear Up Check Valve was engineered and designed to fit and function in Prestolite HYC5000 series powerpacks. This valve locks pressure with a proven hydraulic method. It costs just a fraction of what repair facilities are charging to fix the same issue. 

If your landing gear are trying to drop down during flight and your Prestolite pump is continuously cycling to keep the gear stowed in the wheel wells, odds are your GUCV is leaking. There is no repairing the Prestolite valves. They haven't made new valves in decades, that means you're getting decades old GUCV's put in your powerpack. The rubber has already started to dry-rot prior to it being installed in your pump. Think of it as new OLD OLD stock. 

Our valve was engineered to last. It was designed with a brass seat and a steel ball that will not rot/decay over time like the original valve.

This is a review of the gear up check valve for a Bellanca Viking. This part was bought along with the valve retention clamp. The kit came with extra O-rings and de-burring tool as well as very detailed instructions. These parts worked perfectly and the landing gear now functions properly. This seller is top-notch and very know nowledgeable and helpful. I have been an aircraft mechanic nearly 50 years. To find this kind of quality service and parts for these old power-packs is amazing. I highly recommend this company.
