This jig is very nice but it confused me a bit at first. This will do nicely to set it up and drill your receiver. That being said, I do have a suggestion: There is a guy selling a 3D printed box enclosure that you put your receiver inside to drill through steel bushings but he wants $295 for it, which is insane. My suggestion is that a similar part could be made of aluminum. I plan on using mine as a locator to mark with transfer punches. I expect it should last me a lifetime being made of aluminum if I'm careful. |

with this jig you do have to take your time and check a few times before you drill, you have to clamp this on the peace if you can, use this on a drill press and it works, might not be the nicest jig but it does the job. |

If you're not a machinist, this layout tool is vital. What worked best for me
was to use the the jig to transfer the drill points to the receiver using the actual final size bit. Put the drill into the jig hole and create a small dimple by turning the bit by hand, once satisfied that the mark is
properly located, center punch and again verify center with the alignment jig. Drill using incremental bits until the final size. You can't go wrong. |

Great jig for locating and drilling all holes except for the barrel hole. It is too hard to get the barrel hole marked because the barrel hole locator is on the end of the fixture and tends to move out of place when trying to clamp it in place. Buy the separate barrel hole locator for a precise hole. |

The razor jig is everything it is promised to be. I used transfer punches to mark the receiver instead of clamping and drilling through the holes. This will give me many more uses of the jig before wearing it out. Of course, I still need to buy the parts needs for assembly before I can declare success, but if the instructions are followed carefully, all should be fine. |

This fixture is adequate to do the job intended but if you want to use it to complete more than one 80% receiver don't use it as a drill guide, use it as a transfer punch guide only. The positioning pin design is very difficult to clamp when locating the v-block holes and the take down screw hole but was fine for everything else. It's a cheap disposable alternative to the much more expensive and elaborate fixtures on the market costing 5 times what this one cost. There were no instructions or illustrations for the use of the fixture with my kit only some very vague procedural instructions so watch the videos, links are available on the Select Fire Site. |

Works good though I would prefer a shelf stop on the jig instead of so many pins. V block holes could also be much easier to align with a shelf stop or separate "slip over" jig. It's very difficult to clamp the v block jig pins onto the receiver in a stable manor. I am making my own vblock jig for my next 80. Dimensions and barrel hole locater are perfect and it is very compact! |
