This valve is being sold as a "COMPARISON TEST VALVE" to be used in determining if your valve was good or bad. It will out-perform the Prestolite valve. However, it's not TSO'ed, PMA'ed or STC'ed. According to the FAA cannot be used in certified aircraft. With that said...
Our Gear Up Check Valve was engineered and designed to fit and function in Prestolite HYC5000 series powerpacks. This valve locks pressure with a proven hydraulic method. It costs just a fraction of what repair facilities are charging to fix the same issue.
If your landing gear are trying to drop down during flight and your Prestolite pump is continuously cycling to keep the gear in the wheel wells, odds are your GUCV is leaking. There is no repairing the Prestolite valves. They haven't made new valves in decades, that means you're getting decades old GUCV's put in your powerpack. The rubber has already started to dry-rot prior to it being installed in your pump. Think of it as new OLD OLD stock.
